Shortening of the US securities transaction settlement cycle to T+1 trade day and upward adjustment of U.S. SEC Levy

Thank you for choosing our service! The standard settlement cycle for transactions in US securities will be shortened from two business days after the trade date (T+2) to one business day after trading (T+1), such change aims to enhance efficiency and reduce risk in the securities market. This new settlement cycle will be effective from 28 May 2024 onwards.

In addition, the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (“SEC”) will upward adjust the SEC Levy (Applicable to Sales of U.S. securities Only) from 0.0008% to 0.00278%, of the dollar value of aggregated sales,  with minimum charge of USD0.01 per sell order unchanged. Effective from 20 MAY 2024 (Trade day) onwards.
